Bach: St John Passion Llandaff Cathedral with Llandaff Cathedral Choral Society & Soloists of the Wales International Academy of Voice On Sunday March 22, renowned Welsh conductor Owain Arwel Hughes CBE will direct Camerata Wales l Cymru, together with Llandaff Cathedral Choral Society and soloists of the Wales International Academy of Voice, in a performance of the glorious J.S. Bach St Passion. The concert is part of a series of performances by the Welsh maestro in support of the churches & chapels of Wales, and takes place with the full support of The Archbishop of Wales & Bishop of Llandaff, The Most Revd Dr. Barry Cennydd Morgan The performance of St John Passion will take place at the Cathedral at 6:00pm. A celebration in music and poetry marking 100 years since the birth of Wales' preminent poet, Dylan Marlais Thomas. Presented on the eve of Dylan's centennial birthday, the performance featured Owain Arwel Hughes and Camerata Wales in the world premiere performances of three new works dedicated to Wales' best loved bard, together with readings by a host of stars of stage and screen, which included Griff Rhys Jones, Robert Bathurst, Tom Hollander, Lesley Manville, Sian Phillips CBE, Jonathan Pryce CBE and John Owen Jones
