New Music - Cerddoriaeth Newydd
In addition to promoting and championing the existing music of Wales and Welsh composers, Camerata Wales l Cymru is keen to also actively commission and promote new Welsh music.
The orchestra has already adopted this within our Penblwyddi / Anniversaries and Dylan Thomas in Fitzrovia projects, and in 2014 commissioned and undertook the premiere performances of six major new orchestral works by Bernard Kane, Paul Mealor, Christopher Painter, Mark Thomas and Gareth Wood. The orchestra has now adopted Gareth Wood as our Composer In Residence. A biography for Gareth can be found here |
Further information on the Penblwyddi / Anniversaries project can be found here.
